How much does a back office cost for a roofing company?
Every piece has its own flat monthly price. Pick the ones you need. Most roofing and HVAC companies doing $1M to $5M spend $900 to $2,500 a month total. No hourly billing. No surprise invoices.

Two example stacks
$2M storm roofer
Bookkeeping (300 to 500 tier) $1,100. Job costing $400. Insurance collections $450.
$1,950 a month
Collections alone usually finds more than that in the first month.
$1.2M HVAC shop
Bookkeeping (150 to 300 tier) $800. Payroll for 8 people $214.
$1,014 a month
Add job costing on installs later.
What others charge
Generic online bookkeeping runs $300 to $600 a month. Those services do not do job costing, do not touch AccuLynx, and treat every deposit as revenue. Fractional CFO firms that work with roofers charge $3,500 to $5,000 a month and usually want $3M+ companies. We sit in the middle: real contractor books, job costing, payroll, and collections, priced piece by piece so a $1M to $5M company can carry it.
Common questions
Why price by transactions?
It is the fairest measure of the work. A $3M roofer with 250 transactions a month is less work than a $1.5M HVAC shop with 600. Revenue does not tell us that. The bank feed does.
How do I know my transaction count?
Count the lines on your bank and credit card statements for a normal month. Or send read-only QuickBooks access and we count it for you.
Can I really pick just one service?
Yes. Payroll only, collections only, job costing on top of your existing bookkeeper. Each piece runs on its own. Most clients start with one and add.
What if my volume changes?
We true up quarterly. If you jump a tier for three months, the price moves. If you drop, it moves down.
Is there a contract?
A one-page service agreement. Month to month. Monthly fee on autopay the 1st.
What is not included?
Tax prep and filing. Legal collections. Anything not on this page is quoted separately.
Is the first month free?
Yes, on monthly bookkeeping for new clients. Request a quote and your first month of bookkeeping is on us. The Money Map is a separate free review of your books you can get without signing up.
